Pico Talk – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Pico Talk (“Service”), a voice calling, messaging, and contact management platform operated by PICO SOFT LIMITED (“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy. By creating an account, downloading the application, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into an agreement to use Pico Talk.

2. Account Registration & Security

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must not share your login credentials, impersonate others, or attempt to access accounts or systems without permission.

You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access or a security breach.

3. Service Description

Pico Talk provides voice calling, chat messaging, group chat, contact management, and related notification features. Some features may be released gradually, changed, limited, or discontinued based on platform requirements.

A core feature of Pico Talk is contact cloud sync. With your permission, the app can read your device contacts so you can sync them to the Pico cloud, edit them, and delete them, similar to other contact-sync services. This requires the Read Contacts and Write Contacts permissions. All synced contacts are encrypted at rest in our database, so we cannot read the contacts you upload. How these permissions and data are handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

Pico Talk also offers AI-assisted features such as translation and writing tools (grammar improvement, rewrite, and professional tone). These are processed on a one-shot, real-time basis and the content you submit is not stored or retained by us.

We do not record or store the audio or video content of your calls.

4. Content & User Responsibility

You are responsible for content shared through Pico Talk, including chat messages, contact information, and profile information. You retain ownership of your content, but grant us a limited right to process it only as necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

We may investigate abuse reports and may suspend or restrict accounts when required to protect users, the platform, or legal interests.

7. Data Storage, Export & Deletion

You may delete your account using the in-app tools or by contacting support. Account deletion takes effect instantly: your phone number, your Pico cloud contacts, and your profile photo are permanently removed. Deleting your account does not affect the contacts stored on your device, which are device-specific and not stored in the cloud. Your chat and group chat history is retained and is restored only if you register again with the same phone number. Data handling, retention, deletion, and user rights are described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service, but Pico Talk is provided on an “as available” basis. Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, upgrades, network issues, security events, or circumstances beyond our control.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational security measures, including encrypted transport, encryption of stored contacts at rest, access controls, monitoring, and incident response processes. Chat messages are not end-to-end encrypted. We do not record or store call audio or video content. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

10. Intellectual Property

Pico Talk, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and platform components, is owned by or licensed to PICO SOFT LIMITED. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the Service except where permitted by law or written agreement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pico Talk and PICO SOFT LIMITED shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-profit damages.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of Bangladesh, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes may be communicated through the application or other reasonable notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
